The Breast Lift surgery, also called Mastopexy, is a procedure that raises the breasts to a more youthful and perky position. Many women feel self-conscious of the sagging appearance of their breasts as they get older, especially if they feel their breasts have prematurely begun to sag after pregnancy, breastfeeding, or fluctuations in weight. The Breast Lift is performed on its own or in combination with the Breast Augmentation procedure when a woman wants to both enhance breast size as well as lift the breasts. The breast lift surgery is achieved using a few different techniques and it just depends on the amount of rejuvenation required to achieve the desired goal.
Typically there are three incision patterns used in the Breast Lift surgery: 1. Around the areola in a circle, 2. Around the areola and down to the crease of the breast in an anchor outline, or 3. Around the areola and then down to the breast crease and across the crease in a star shape.
